HONG KONG - After recently announcing a host of changes to the senior managing team of Cathay Pacific, the airline has taken the first step in its transformation plan, a reorganisation of its head office and the restructuring of its cargo department. Cathay Pacific has removed the role of Cargo Director which was due to be fulfilled by James Ginns, who would have been taking over the position from Simon Large, effective June 1.

The responsibilities of Cargo Director will be split between the Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, who will oversee the commercial and planning functions, and Director Service Delivery will oversee the services function. From June 1, Paul Loo will become Chief Customer and Commercial Officer while Algernon Yau will be appointed Director Service Delivery.

Ginns will instead take on a UK-based role in the Cathay Pacific Group.

At the Group's headquarters in Hong Kong, the wider changes will affect senior, middle management and non-managerial roles. Around 190 management and 400 non-managerial roles will go, representing 25% of management and 18 % of non-managerial positions respectively.

All employees whose roles will become redundant in the new structure will receive a severance package including up to 12 months salary, extended medical benefits including counselling and support, and additional and extended travel benefits. Cathay Pacific will also offer all outgoing employees job search support, job application support and interview training.

SINGAPORE - Hutchison Port Holdings Management has announced Lee Tiong Hock as Company Secretary, replacing Lynn Wan Tiew Leng, effective since May 22.

SINGAPORE - Global Maritime has appointed Mei Ling Chan as Regional Finance Manager for the Asia Pacific region, and Leong Weng Yoon as HSEQ Manager for Asia Pacific operations, both based at Global Maritime's Singapore Office.

UK - The International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) has announced Theresa Crosslet as its new Chief Executive, effective in October when she steps down from her role as Executive Director of the UK Major Ports Group (UKMPG). She takes over from Bruce Reid, who joined the IMRF as CEO in 2012.

UK - GB Railfreight has announced the promotion of Duncan Clark to Strategic Development Director, and the appointment of Lee Armstrong as Commercial Director.

UK - Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), has announced several changes to its senior team. John Batten will lead WFS cargo operations as Executive Vice President Cargo Europe Middle East & Asia. For the past year, Batten has worked as acting EVP Europe Group Handling, until August 28, when Will Facey will join to take on the role of EVP Ground Handling operations for Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia. Facey is currently Head of Network Operations at EasyJet.

Barry Nassburg, formerly Group Chief Operating Officer, becomes Group Chief Commercial Officer, reporting directly to CEO Craig Smyth. Justin Jaques, previously Vice President of Asia and the Middle East, will become Senior Vice President Group Commercial, reporting to Nassburg.

Catherine Thomas has been named General Counsel & Head of Legal.

US - Do Freight Transportation (DOFT) has announced industry veteran Pat Hull, CEO and Founder of GetLoaded.com, as an advisor to the company. Hull will help DOFT grow and strategise in the future.

US - Magnate Worldwide has announced Thomas Gilgen as President of newly-acquired Masterpiece International. Gilgen was most recently President of Magnate Worldwide and will now relocate to Masterpiece's headquarters in New York.

US - England Logistics has announced Ryan Davis as Director of Agent Recruiting.

US - Chuck DeLutis, Chief Operations Officer at Ward Transport and Logistics, has announced his decision to retire at the end of June.

US - Supply chain management cooperative serving Dunkin' Donuts franchisees, National SCP has promoted Ronald Ornelas to Chief Commercial Officer. He joined the company in 2013 as Chief Procurement Officer.

US - Steve Langhart has been promoted to Director of Cargo Sales at Southwest Airlines. Langhart will be responsible for leading the Cargo Sales Team, including field, national, and inside sales, as well as all business development efforts. Langhart joined Southwest Airlines in 2008, holding a variety of positions throughout the years.

Executive Vice President of Corporate Services Jeff Lamb has decided to leave Southwest Airlines to assume a leadership role at Highland Homes, effective June 30. EVP and CCO Bob Jordan take over from Lamb on July 1, and will report to CEO and Chairman Gary Kelly.

Andrew Watterson, current Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, will be promoted to EVP and CRO, effective July 1.

US - Toyota Motor North America has announced the appointment of Vinay Shahani to Vice President, Integrated Marketing Operations, effective from June 5. He reports to Ed Laukes, Group Vice President, Toyota Division Marketing.

BERMUDA - Seadrill has announced Current CCO and EVP Anton Dibowitz as its new CEO to succeed Per Wullf, effective July 1. Wullf will remain a Director of the company after he steps down from the CEO role.
